About me Before moving into the educational sector I worked in administration and finance in the NHS and the Lord Chancellor's Department. I also spent two years operating and marketing a targeted mailing service for the Chartered Institute of Managament Accountants. Between 2001 and 2007 I was Information Systems Manager at Parliament Hill School in North London. I instigated the move from SIMS to Facility CMIS and helped lead the school's transition into a centralised, data-rich environment. In 2005 I spent a year on a part-time secondment to Camden LEA, providing MIS support to other local Facility schools and working on other projects relating to the transfer of data between goverment agencies. In 2006 I implimented a Facility CMIS system for the LaSWAP Sixth Form Consortium in Camden, a unique solution utilising the London Grid for Learning broadband network. This allowed Facility CMIS users at four different sites to access a central database, giving them access to live data for the first time. EPortal with home access was introduced for teachers, along with lesson by lesson attendance and on-line report-writing. I continued to manage a dedicated Information Management Team that ran both the Parliament Hill and LaSWAP systems becoming a freelance consultant in 2007. |
